Recently, firefighters from Drumright, Olive, Basin, Mounds, Chandler, Pawnee Nation, Fallis, Depew, and Olive gathered at Central Tech for 16 hours of intensive wildland firefighting instruction.
This training equips our responders with the essential skills to safely and effectively manage wildland fire incidents across Oklahoma.
Network Security & Administration students from the Sapulpa campus are applying their skills to a real-world project: installing a new security camera system in campus training rooms. The students are working with the IT Department for the entire process, including hardware installation, running network cables, and terminating connections to ensure a functional and secure system.
This hands-on experience provides valuable training in a professional environment, allowing students to develop skills in physical security, network infrastructure, and project management. The project is an excellent example of Central Tech’s commitment to providing practical, career-focused education.

This weekend, women from our community came together for a powerful Women’s Self Defense class led by Drumright Police Chief Reinke, with demonstrations by our very own Campus Police Chief Masson. From learning practical moves to building confidence, it was a day full of energy, empowerment, and a whole lot of fun. 👊
We’re excited to share that Chief Reinke plans to offer another class this spring - stay tuned!
Last month Central Tech partnered with Pawnee County Emergency Management and the Oklahoma Department of Homeland Security to host a 21-hour ICS 300 course at our Cleveland location.
Firefighters from Luther, Prue, Verdigris, Olive, Pawnee, and the Oklahoma Forestry Service participated in this advanced training focused on managing large-scale incidents using the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
This course builds on ICS 100 and 200, preparing personnel for leadership roles in multi-jurisdictional and multi-agency operations.
Last week, Grace - a proud 2nd grader and daughter of one of our amazing employees - had a “Dress Up As What You Want to Be When You Grow Up” day at school. Her choice? A Central Tech employee 💙
She rocked her Central Tech blue, made sure to wear her ID badge, and showed off her school spirit like a pro. And yes, it was all her idea!
We’re honored to inspire the next generation, and we think Grace is already on the fast track to greatness.

On September 16, Central Tech teamed up with OSU Fire Service Training and the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal’s Office to host a National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS) training session for our local fire departments.
🔥 Departments in attendance: Olive, Silver City, Perkins, Hickory Hill, Tulsa, Maramec, Chandler, Osage, Freedom Hill, and Faic.
This training is a vital step in strengthening emergency preparedness across our region. NERIS training is essential for enhancing the safety, coordination, and effectiveness of emergency response operations in both industrial and public safety sectors. As emergency incidents become increasingly complex and data-driven, it is critical that our personnel are equipped with the tools and knowledge to respond efficiently and collaboratively.
Students from the Network Security & Administration and Business & Information technology classes on the Sapulpa campus recently visited @tulsacc (TCC) for a hands-on tour. The students participated in several technical demonstrations showcasing various aspects of the college`s technology programs.
The tour provided an opportunity for students to see real-world applications of their classroom learning and engage with TCC faculty and staff. The event aimed to bridge the gap between high school technical education and collegiate studies, offering students a glimpse into their potential future career paths.
